Well done St George, yet another purchase not completed on time because your systems are not up to scratch. With the current Royal Commission still taking evidence, maybe you can explain to them how you did not verify the identity of a client, and on the day before settlement directed us to change the clients name on the transfer to match "per our mortgage". Banks are not exempt from complying with VOI legislation despite what you may think. Purchaser client will be up for a substantial amount in penalties and risk losing both the property and their deposit because St George Bank does not take the appropriate and LEGAL steps before issuing mortgage documents. Will not ever be recommending St George to anyone for anything to do with property, it's too risky with the way you think the law is only a guide and your blatant encouragement for others to commit fraud along with you. ... New laws allow greater protection for off the plan buyers in NSW. Buyers must now receive a copy of the final plan 21 days before settlement.
